Handing Over Ceremony of Fort Emma, Kanowit

The handing over ceremony of Emma Fort was held on 16 July 2020 in Kanowit. This ceremony had witnessed the handing over of Emma Fort by Ir. Anding Unchi, JKR Regional Manageer (Central) and Crest Realty Sdn Bhd. (Contractor) to Tazudin Mohtar, Acting Director of Museum Department of Sarawak. YB En. Allan Siden Gramong, ADUN Machan N50 was also present during this ceremony.

The project scope includes the renovation of 1 existing Building Block which consists of architectural and M&E works as well as construction of new toilets and external works (drainage, retaining wall and ramp). The project was completed on 28.2.2020 with the cost of RM 2,983,192.00. Fort Emma is one of the five forts that was  built during the colonial era that is currently under restoration and upgrading works.
