Testing & Commissioning of Traffic Light System at Lepapa Junction

YB Datuk Francis Harden Anak Hollis, Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development in Sarawak, witnessed the testing and commissioning of a new traffic light system at the Lepapa junction. The project details were briefed by the Divisional Engineer of JKR Sri Aman, Ir. Ts. Br. Minjo Simanding, at the JKR Sri Aman AI Command Center. The major scope of work for this project includes road improvement works and the installation, testing, and commissioning of a new smart traffic light system at five major junctions along the Access Road to Sri Aman: Jalan Hollis, Jalan Michael Pilo, Jalan Muhibbah, Jalan Lepapa, and Jalan Bayu. This also includes the development of a command center at JKR Sri Aman, which will be fully operated by the government through JKR Sri Aman. All five junctions are scheduled for completion, including the resurfacing of specific junction locations, by October 2024.
