YBrs. Ts. Meehan Anak Jorai, Deputy Director (Technical Services) of Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Sarawak, visited the State Archive Building Project site at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak to monitor its current progress. During a meeting with the contractor and consultant teams, he urged all parties to ensure smooth project implementation according to schedule. He expressed his satisfaction with the project's current development, which has achieved 50.68% completion and is expected to be fully operational by 2025.

The future State Archive Building will feature an Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS), designed to securely and systematically collect and preserve archival collections. A training and education center is also planned to support research activities, complete with lecture halls, experimental laboratories, an auditorium, and fully equipped research spaces.

During the same visit, Ts. Meehan also inspected the construction site of the new Sarawak Premier's Administrative Office in Petra Jaya. This project is likewise targeted for completion in 2025, with a brief progress update delivered by Mr. Azlan Sebri, Project Manager (Borneo Development Corporation (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd). Also present during the inspection were Ir. Liew Ming Chek, Divisional Engineer (JKR Kuching); Ir. Jong Fung Swee, Senior Principal Assistant Director (Mechanical); officers from JKR headquarters; as well as contractor and consultant representatives.
