Dinner Ceremony in Conjunction with JKR Sarawak Assembly 2025

Yang Berhormat Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Deputy Premier of Sarawak and Minister of Finance & New Economy II / Minister of Infrastructure & Port Development, graced the Dinner Ceremony in Conjunction with JKR Sarawak Assembly 2025, a prestigious event celebrating the department's exceptional contributions to Sarawak's infrastructure development. The gala dinner marked the official launch of two strategic documents set to revolutionize project implementation standards: the Schedule of Rates 2024 JKR Sarawak and Design of Concrete Roads for JKR R1 Standard Guidelines – critical tools for enhancing project efficiency and quality.

In his keynote address, the Deputy Premier commended JKR Sarawak for achieving an impressive 98% development expenditure utilization rate and praised the department's digital transformation initiatives in project delivery. "JKR Sarawak's unwavering commitment to our 'We Build for You' motto remains pivotal in realizing Sarawak's infrastructure aspirations," he stated. The evening culminated with the presentation of the Special JKR Sarawak Awards, the department's highest honor recognizing officers and staff for extraordinary dedication, excellence, and transformative contributions to the state's development.

This annual celebration underscores JKR Sarawak's dual achievement in maintaining fiscal discipline while driving innovation, solidifying its role as the backbone of Sarawak's infrastructure transformation under the Post-COVID Development Strategy 2030. The ceremony was attended by Yang Berhormat Datuk Ir. Aidel Lariwoo, Deputy Minister (Infrastructure Development) Sarawak; Yang Berhormat Dato Majang Renggi, Deputy Minister (Port Development) Sarawak; and Yang Berbahagia Datu Chiew Chee Yau, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Port Development Sarawak.
