Yang Berhormat Datuk Ir. Aidel Lariwoo, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development (Infrastructure) Sarawak, today officiated the final connection ceremony for the Batang Saribas Bridge, a critical component of the Sarawak Coastal Road Project scheduled for completion by March 2025. The 1.55-kilometer bridge, set to replace ferry services between Pusa and Beladin, will dramatically reduce travel time from 30 minutes to just minutes, while serving as an alternative route to the Pan Borneo Highway for improved regional connectivity.

"This infrastructure aligns perfectly with our 'We Build For You' motto, demonstrating JKR Sarawak's commitment to delivering quality facilities that directly benefit communities," stated the Deputy Minister during the ceremony. The project will significantly enhance accessibility for local residents while strengthening Sarawak's coastal transportation network as part of the state's strategic development agenda. The Batang Saribas Bridge represents Sarawak's progressive infrastructure development under the Post-COVID Development Strategy 2030, combining engineering excellence with tangible community impact.
