Bahagian Pengurusan Sempadan Darat (BPSD) Courtesy Visit to JKR Sarawak

The Bahagian Pengurusan Sempadan Darat (BPSD), Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN), Jabatan Perdana Menteri paid a courtesy visit to the Director of Public Works Sarawak as part of efforts to strengthen inter-agency cooperation related to the development and security of the state’s border infrastructure. The delegation was led by Puan Azizah binti Mohamed Said, Director of BPSD, MKN, and was accompanied by senior officers from the division. The visit aimed to discuss issues concerning the management and development of land border infrastructure in Sarawak, with particular emphasis on security aspects.

During the discussion session, both parties exchanged views on existing challenges as well as proactive measures that can be undertaken to ensure effective control and smooth implementation of land border development initiatives. The Director of Public Works Sarawak welcomed the visit and expressed the commitment of the Public Works Department Sarawak to continue working closely with MKN and other relevant agencies to ensure that border infrastructure development not only meets logistical needs but also addresses national security requirements. The courtesy visit reflects the strong synergy among government agencies in safeguarding national borders while supporting orderly development, in line with the nation’s overall development and security agenda.
