The Investigation Branch is formerly known as Central Materials Laboratory (CML) which is now another expanded branch under Quality Management Sector. Investigation Branch is specially set up for carrying out geotechnical investigation of sites of proposed government infrastructure projects located throughout Sarawak and ensuring quality control of engineering materials and works. The Branch is the referral center for technical assistance in laboratory testing, site investigations, calibration works and the supply of test equipment.
