Jelajah Advokasi Keselamatan 2023 di Lebuhraya Pan Borneo Sarawak, Serian Division

The second location for "Jelajah Advokasi Keselamatan 2023 di Lebuhraya Pan Borneo Sarawak" program continued today with the launching ceremony by Yang Berhormat Datuk Dr. Jerip anak Susil, Deputy Minister for Transport I, and Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri N.19 Mambong earlier today.

The program was held at Dewan Pusat Pentadbiran Kerajaan Sarawak, Serian Division and was attended by approximately 250 members of Ketua Masyarakat Ketua Kaum (KMKK). For record, the first location for this program was conducted in Kuching and officiated by YAB Deputy Prime Minister, Dato Sri Haji Fadillah Haji Yusof. The previous program was joined by KMKK members from Kuching Zone on 15 July 2023.

The main objective of this program is to deliver information to the public with regards to traffic rules, advocacy and safety aspects at Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak in a holistic manner. The program was jointly organized by Jabatan Kerja Raya Sarawak through Pan Borneo Highway Branch (PBHB) and Serian Resident Office while being assisted by Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak Project Management Consultant (PMC), Pengurusan Lebuhraya Pan Borneo Sarawak Sdn Bhd (PLPS), Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM) Sarawak and Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) Sarawak.

This program was also supported by Ministry of Works Malaysia; Ministry of Infrastructure and Ports Development (MIPD) and Ministry of Transport (MOT). In this program, 4 briefing sessions were conducted, which are:

Briefing 1: Background and current information on Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak by Ir. Ts. Awg Mohamad Fadillah bin Awg Redzuan, Senior Principal Assistant Director (Pan Borneo Highway), Jabatan Kerja Raya Sarawak;

Briefing 2: Rules and Traffic Issues along Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak by Encik Fedrick anak Micheal, (Pengurusan Lebuhraya Pan Borneo Sarawak) as the Project Management Consultant;

Briefing 3: Rules and Traffic Laws (PDRM) by Tuan Inspektor Malvin Andrew, Pegawai Penyiasat Bahagian Siasatan dan Penguatkuasaan Trafik, Serian;

Briefing 4: Rules and Traffic Laws (JPJ) by Tuan Abang Nazarudin bin Abang Sharbini, Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) Sarawak.

Also present during the program were Encik Tay Guan Huat, Secretary (Serian District Council), Encik Chiresly anak Francis Kureng, JKR Divisional Engineer (Serian), Ayanda Temenggong, Pemanca, Penghulu, Ketua-ketua Kaum and officers from Jabatan Kerja Raya Sarawak.
