Launching Ceremony for Sesi Diskusi Meja Bulat by Chief Secretary (Ministry of Works)

Ir. Ts. Gs. Br. Dr. Cassidy anak Morris, Director of Public Works Sarawak had attended the Launching Ceremony forr Sesi Diskusi Meja Bulat: Tatakelola Pelaksanaan Projek (Mitigasi Pembayaran di Bawah Arahan Perbendaharaan 59) Siri Zon 2 (Zon Sarawak), which was officiated by Datuk Seri Hj. Hasnol Zam Zam bin Hj. Ahmad, Chief Secretary (Ministry of Works).

There were 53 senior officers from JKR Sarawak and Ministry of Works that had participated in the 3-day program. The discussion was intended to provide necessary exposure on the project implementation governance in order to mitigate payments under AP59 for projects under JKR Sarawak supervision.

Compliance to the Project Implementation Governance that was based on Treasury Instruction 59 (AP59) will ensure that all the fund spent on projects will be managed and utilized efficiently. This will also make sure that the project implementation operation can be smoothly executed as well as to minimize any financial risk. The program will allow both parties to improve the important processes like procurement management, contract management and financial management.

Also present during the ceremony were Encik Ainul Ridzwan bin Zainudin, Setiausaha Bahagian (Bahagian Kewangan), Ir. Mohd Fairuz bin Mamat @ Muhamad, Setiausaha Bahagian (Bahagian Perancangan Jalan), Puan Helena Romeo, Setiausaha Bahagian (Bahagian Pengurusan Fasiliti), JKR Sarawak Top Management, officers from Ministry of Works and JKR Sarawak.
