Mini Convention Innovation and Creative Circle (ICC) JKR Sarawak 2024

The Mini Convention Innovation and Creative Circle (ICC) Jabatan Kerja Raya Sarawak 2024 had taken place in Miri on 2 - 4 July 2024. This is an initiative by the department to support and prepare 9 ICC groups that will represent JKR Sarawak in the ICC Convention at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Ports Development (MIPD) level. Aside from that, the convention also becomes a platform for the groups to present their innovations that can resolve issues or improve existing processes that are related to the roles and functions of the department.
The launching ceremony for Mini Convention Innovation and Creative Circle (ICC) was officiated by Ir. Wisil anak Lichok, Deputy Director (Infrastructure) who represented Director of Public Works Sarawak. Also present during the launching ceremony were Ir. Sim Hui Kheng, Quality Assurance & Quality Control Manager, Pn. Hajah Mariam Dollah, Senior Principal Assistant Director (Compliance), En. Lewis bin Said, Senior Principal Assistant Director (Building), panel of jury and JKR Sarawak officers.
9 ICC groups had participated in the mini convention this year. The groups are White Swan (JKR Sibu), Q-BIC (Building Sector), Meraki (JKR Bintulu), 2win Bridges (JKR Kapit), Ta’rom (JKR Limbang), Bujang Senang (JKR Sri Aman), Synercorp (Corporate Planning Branch), Yellow Bridges (JKR Mukah) and Hippocampus (JKR Miri).
The closing ceremony was held at the final day of the convention, together with the award giving ceremony to the winners by Ir. Wisil anak Lichok, Deputy Director (Infrastructure) who represented Director of Public Works. The champion was White Swan from JKR Sibu, followed by Yellow Bridges from JKR Mukah as the first runner up and Ta’rom from JKR Limbang as the second runner up. Q- BIC from Building Sector has managed to be on the fourth place and followed by Bujang Senang from JKR Sri Aman in the fifth place. The rest of the groups also receive consolation prizes as well. The Best Montage award went to Yellow Bridges (JKR Mukah), while the Best Presentation Award went to Ta’rom (JKR Limbang).
Also present during this event were Pn. Hajah Mariam Dollah, Senior Principal Assistand Director (Compliance) and Ir. Ts. Minjo Anak Simanding, Divisional Engineer (JKR Sri Aman), panel of juries and JKR Sarawak staff.
