Mass Toolbox Program at OSH Week 2024

This program was officiated by Puan Rasyimawati binti Mat Rasyid, Deputy Director (DOSH Sarawak), and was also attended by Ir. Sim Hui Kheng, Quality Assurance & Quality Control Manager, Encik Saribudin bin Katang, Ag. Divisional Engineer (JKR Samarahan), Ir. Ts. Teo Nguong Leong, Senior Principal Assistant Director (CSTRB), contractors and consultants.
In her speech, Puan Rasyimawati stated that the ceremony is a continuous effort to improve awareness and safety & health level at workplace, with the tripartism concept. She added that the Government is very committed to ensure that all of the workers in the country can work in a safe, healthy, conducive and productive environment. This commitment is shown through various approcahes, which include review on the existing laws which involves Acts, Rules and Guidelines. One of them is Akta Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (Pindaan) 2022, which had just been gazzetted in line with the nation's economic growth that had led to the creation of new sectors that can expose the workers to various occupational safety & health hazard.
