Deputy Minister (MIPD) Visit - Trans Borneo Highway

YB Datuk Ir. Aidel Lariwoo, Deputy Minister for Infrastructure & Ports Development Sarawak, had visited the project site for Lebuhraya Trans Borneo (LTB) earlier today. LTB is a project that involves upgrading works on the existing 93.2km road from Miri to Limbang and Lawas to Sabah through Brunei Darussalam. This project is still in the planning stage and is expected to commence next year. LTB will be divided into 3 packages namely, Kuala Baram to ICQS Sungai Tujuh, Miri (4.9km), ICQS Tedungan to ICQS Pandaruan, Limbang (54.6 km) and from Lawas town to ICQS Merapok, Lawas (33.7 km).
Also present were Ir. Ts. Bujang Anak Kanang, Senior Principal Assistant Director (Project Implementation & Monitoring; Ir. Stephen Ung, Divisional Engineer (JKR Miri); Azhar Nubli, Engineer (MIPD) and officers from JKR Sarawak.
