State-level Women’s Day Celebration is an event which is organized by Ministry of Welfare, Women and Family Development to recognize women’s involvement and contribution in the state development. The State-Level Women’s Day Celebration 2013 was held on 28 September 2013 at Borneo Convention Centre (BCCK), and was officially opened by Sarawak Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.
Also present were Chief Minister's wife Puan Sri Ragad Kurdi Taib, State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Speaker Dato Sri Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar, Minister of Welfare, Women and Family Development cum event organizer - Chairman Datuk Fatimah Abdullah, State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani and Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Patinggi Alfred Jabu Numpang and his wife Datuk Seri Empiang.
This year, the State-level Women's Day celebration theme is “Sarawak Women – Treading the Path of Post Independence Years”. The theme had been chosen in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee of Sarawak Independence within Malaysia.
