Project Briefing & Engagement Session with Stakeholders in Serian

An engagement and briefing session together with stakeholders in Serian Division was held at Auditorium, JKR Research Centre earlier today. One of the topics being briefed was the preliminary works and preliminary designs for Projek Naik Taraf FR21 Jalan Serian – Tebedu – Sempadan Indonesia, which was delivered by Ir. Ts. Anding ak Unchi, Senior Principal Assistant Director (Road). The project scope involves existing of the 42-km existing road from 2-lane (R3 standard) to 4-lane (R4 standard), similar to the ones used for Pan Borneo Highway.

Besides that there were a few other projects in Serian that had also been presented by Ir. Ts. Bong Yan Phing, Senior Principal Assistant Director (Bridges & Riverine Structure); Noor Ismail bin Razali, Senior Principal Assistant Director (Rural Development); and Encik Geoffrey Sigai, representative for Senior Principal Assistant Director (Building). The objective of this session is to share information and exchange feedbacks on projects that are currently being implemented or will be implemented in Serian Division.

Also present during the ceremony were Yang Berhormat Datuk Maclaine @ Martin Ben, Deputy Minister for Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development (Commodity and Regional Development); Yang Berhormat Dato' Sri Richard Riot Anak Jaem, Parliamentary Member P.199 Serian; Yang Berhormat Encik John Anak Ilus, ADUN N.23 Bukit Semuja; Yang Berhormat Dr. Simon Sinang anak Bada, ADUN N.21 Tebedu; Ir. Wisil anak Lichok, JKRS Deputy Director (Infrastructure); senior officers from JKR Sarawak and Heads of Department in Serian Division.
