Groundbreaking Ceremony - SK Saka, Betong

The ground breaking ceremony for Cadangan Pembangunan Semula Sekolah-Sekolah Daif Di Negeri Sarawak Di Bawah Peruntukan RM 1 Bilion (Fasa 3) Di SK. Saka, Betong was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu, Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development I (Youth and Sports Development) & ADUN N.36 Layar together with Yang Berhormat Dr. Richard Rapu @ Aman Anak Begri, Parliamentary Member P.204 Betong.
This project will be implemented by JKR Sarawak. The project scope includes the construction of 1 Administrative Block, 1 Pre-school Block 1BD, 2 Hostel Blocks, mechanical & electrical works and others. The construction period will be 28 months and the project is scheduled to be completed by September 2026. The project objective is to provide better infrastructure and a more conducive learning space for students and teachers. Sekolah Kebangsaan Saka, Layar, Betong was built in 1957.
Also present during the ceremony were Tn. Richard anak Michael Abunawas, Resident (Betong), Tn. Haji Mohamad Lela bin Haji Alamsah, District Education Officer (Betong), Tn. Jerry anak Kani, Headmaster (SK Saka), Tn. Jason Ng Boon Tuan, JKR Divisional Engineer (Betong) who is also the Project Superintending Officer, Tn. Alfred Geling Anak Ason, District Officer (Betong), Tn. Mohammad Said bin Shaikh Salleh, Director (Tokoh Bina Sdn. Bhd.) who is also the appointed contractor, community leaders, PIBG, Head of Departments and representatives from various agencies in Betong.
