Flag Rising Ceremony at Dataran Ibu Pertiwi

The symbolic Ibu Pertiwi flag rising ceremony was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Deputy Premier Sarawak, Second Minister for Finance and New Economy & Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development Sarawak at Dataran Ibu Pertiwi earlier today. The flag rising ceremony is conducted on a monthly basis. The flag has become the pride of our people, symbolizing the sovereignty of Sarawak and inevitably turns into one of the major tourist attraction spots in Kuching.
Also present were YB Datuk Dr Hj Abdul Rahman bin Hj Junaidi, Deputy Minister for Utilities and Communication II, YB Datuk Ir. Aidel bin Lariwoo, Deputy Minister for Infrastructure & Port Develoment (Infrastructure), YB Dato Majang Renggi, Deputy Minister for Infrastructure & Port Develoment (Port Development), YBhg Tuan Hj Hilmy Haji Othman, Mayor (DBKU), Datu Chiew Chee Yaw, Permanent Secretary (MIPD), JKR Sarawak Top Management, officers from MIPD and JKR Sarawak.
