Muara Lassa Bridge Pre-Launching Ceremony

Yang Berhormat Datuk Ir. Aidel Lariwoo, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development (Infrastructure) Sarawak, representing the Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development Sarawak, today officiated the pre-launch ceremony for the Muara Lassa Bridge, scheduled to open to traffic on 9 January 2025. The 2.43-kilometer bridge, Sarawak's second longest, will replace existing ferry services while establishing a vital direct link between Mukah and Tanjung Manis.

This Sarawak Government initiative will significantly strengthen the state's transportation network and stimulate economic growth in the Daro region. The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Yang Berhormat Datuk Abdullah Bin Haji Saidol, Deputy Minister of Corporate Affairs, Information and Sarawak Public Communications Unit and ADUN N42 Semop; Yang Berhormat Tuan Haji Safiee Bin Haji Ahmad, ADUN N43 Daro; Yang Berhormat Ahmad Johnie Bin Zawawi, Member of Parliament for P207 Igan; and Yang Berhormat Tuan Ir. Haji Yusuf Bin Abd Wahab, Member of Parliament for P206 Tanjong Manis.
