Pusat Temu Duga (PTD) SPA Sibu Launching Ceremony

Yang Berusaha Ir. Ts. Gs. Br. PMr. Dr. Cassidy Anak Morris, Director of Public Works Sarawak, attended the grand opening ceremony of the newly relocated Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia (SPA) Interview Centre at Sibu UTC Building today. The event was officiated by Yang Berbahagia Dato' Seri Dr. Ahmad Jailani Bin Muhamed Yunus, Chairman of the Public Service Commission of Malaysia and the Judicial and Legal Service Commission, who emphasized that the strategic relocation to Sibu's urban center demonstrates SPA's commitment to enhancing service quality for job applicants across the region.

In his keynote address, Dato' Seri Dr. Ahmad Jailani extended special appreciation to Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Sarawak, particularly JKR Sibu, for their exemplary work in completing the comprehensive renovation project. The scope included meticulous building, electrical, and mechanical upgrades at the UTC Building facility, all executed under JKR Sarawak's "We Build for You" philosophy to ensure optimal user comfort and functionality.

This modernized interview center is projected to significantly improve the efficiency of public service recruitment processes while providing enhanced convenience for candidates undergoing interviews and accessing SPA services. The successful completion of this project underscores the strong collaboration between federal and state agencies in delivering people-centric infrastructure. The new facility represents a strategic upgrade to Sarawak's public service infrastructure, aligning with the state's digital transformation goals under the Post-COVID Development Strategy 2030.
