Iftar Ceremony and Ramadan Box Presentation

The Director of Public Works Sarawak, YBhg. Datu Adj. Prof. Ir. Ts. Gs. Br. PMr. Dr. Cassidy anak Morris, officiated the presentation of contributions to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Baiturrahmah Kuching as well as the distribution of Ramadan Boxes to 52 staff members comprising personnel from the JKR Sarawak Headquarters and Kuching Division. The event was held in conjunction with the Ramadan Box Presentation Ceremony and Iftar gathering organised by Persatuan Kebajikan Islam JKR Sarawak (PKIJ) Pusat, PKIJ Headquarters and PKIJ Kuching Division at Dewan JKR, JKR Kuching Divisional Office.

The Ramadan Boxes were contributed by JKR Sarawak staff and are intended for distribution to asnaf groups, containing essential food items to assist with preparations for Hari Raya Aidilfitri. This programme forms part of PKIJ’s annual initiative to enliven the month of Ramadan through social awareness and community outreach activities. In addition, the Ramadan Boxes will also be distributed to NGOs around Kuching city. The programme further featured congregational Solat Terawih and a Tazkirah session, reflecting the spirit of togetherness, compassion and community engagement among staff while strengthening social responsibility efforts within the department.
