DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS SARAWAK PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO RECTOR OF UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI MARA (UiTM) SARAWAK

The Director of Public Works Sarawak, YBhg. Datu Adj. Prof. Ir. Ts. Gs. Br. PMr. Dr. Cassidy anak Morris, paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Firdaus Abdullah, Rector of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak, as part of efforts to strengthen strategic collaboration between the government sector and academic institutions.

The visit was aimed at fostering closer industry-academia cooperation, particularly in the area of research and development (R&D), to support the advancement of Sarawak’s infrastructure sector. During the discussion, both parties explored opportunities for strategic collaboration in the development of infrastructure within Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak. As the technical partner to UiTM Sarawak, Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Sarawak plays an important role in ensuring that the development of educational facilities is carried out in a sustainable, high-quality and competitive manner.

The Director of Public Works Sarawak reaffirmed JKR Sarawak’s commitment and readiness to continue supporting UiTM Sarawak in strengthening educational development initiatives for the benefit of future generations. Meanwhile, the Rector of UiTM Sarawak expressed his appreciation for the visit and conveyed his pride in the Director of Public Works Sarawak, who is a distinguished alumnus of the university and serves as an inspiration to the UiTM Sarawak community. The visit reflects the continued commitment of both parties to strengthening the synergy between the technical and academic sectors in support of a more sustainable and inclusive development agenda for Sarawak.
