RECOGNITION FOR JKR SARAWAK: DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS SARAWAK DELIVERS SPECIAL ADDRESS AT EnCON 2026

Director of Public Works Sarawak, YBhg. Datu Adj. Prof. Ir. Ts. Gs. Br. PMr. Dr. Cassidy Anak Morris, was invited to deliver a special address as a guest speaker in conjunction with the 16TH International UNIMAS Engineering Conference 2026 (EnCON 2026) today. This invitation stands as recognition of the leadership and contribution of JKR Sarawak in driving the development of high-quality and sustainable infrastructure in the state.
In the keynote address, he highlighted the “JKR Sarawak Framework: Engineering Material Standards, Compliance, and Laboratory Testing” as a holistic approach to ensuring every project meets international standards. Emphasis was placed on the integration between standards-based design (MS EN), execution complying with technical requirements, and the verification process through ISO 17025 accredited laboratory testing to guarantee infrastructure quality and safety.
