Following the remarkable success of the previous year’s event, the highly anticipated Construction Claims and ADR Conference for Sabah and Sarawak has made a resounding comeback to Kuching. This pivotal gathering in the Borneo region offered industry professionals invaluable insights into the latest advancements in construction claims and alternative dispute resolution options.
The event featured a Special Address by the Director of Public Works, Sarawak, YBrs. Ir. Ts. Gs. Br. Dr. Cassidy Anak Morris. Esteemed attendees included YBhg. Tan Sri James Foong - Retired Federal Court Judge and Director of Legal Plus; The Honorable Justice Dato Dr. Hj. Alwi Bin Hj. Abdul Wahab - High Court Judge of Kuching, Justice Tuan Nadzarin Bin Wok Nordin - High Court Judge of Kuala Lumpur (Construction); Mr. Gurvir Singh Sandhills - President of Advocates Association of Sarawak; Dato’ Mary Lim Thiam Susan - Chairperson of Protem Committee, AIAC Court of Arbitration and Retired Federal Court Judge of Malaysia; Datuk Yew Jen Kie - Chairperson, Sarawak Institute of Arbitrators and Dispute Resolution and Retired Court of Appeal Judge of Malaysia; and a whole host of renown dignitaries.
This 1-day event which is part of a 5-day conference on Construction Claims and ADR Conference Sabah and Sarawak, jointly organized by Legal Plus and L2 i-con, comprised four enlightening sessions viz.:
