YAB Prime Minister Visit to Kapit

A one-day working visit program was conducted in Kapit today, focusing on various development initiatives in the surrounding areas. The working visit commenced with a Majlis Ramah Mesra between YAB Prime Minister and community leaders of the Kapit Division at Dewan Suarah Kapit. During the event, the Director of Public Works Sarawak presented a briefing on development projects for the division at the exhibition booth.

In his speech, YAB Prime Minister expressed full support for the Sarawak Government's efforts in driving the new economic development mission for the region. The program continued with a groundbreaking ceremony for Projek Pembangunan Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Kapit, followed by a visit to the project site for Jambatan Merentasi Batang Rajang in Nanga Yong, which will serve as a vital urban connector and facilitate essential public amenities. After visiting Rumah Robert Nanga Sebatu Kapit, YAB Perdana Menteri departed back to Kuala Lumpur.

Also present were YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Premier of Sarawak; Yang Berhormat Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister of Works; YB Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Abu Bakar Bin Marzuki, State Secretary of Sarawak; ministers, people's representatives, Heads of Departments, public servants, and members of the public.
