Marudi Bridge Opening Ceremony

Yang Berhormat Datuk Ir. Aidel Lariwoo, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development (Infrastructure) Sarawak, today officiated the symbolic opening ceremony of the Marudi Bridge. The 650-meter bridge, constructed from 20 October 2022 to 18 October 2024 (ahead of schedule), includes an 800-meter access road.
In a press statement, YB Datuk Ir. Aidel emphasized the bridge's role as a catalyst for Marudi's development, announcing upcoming road projects to further boost regional growth. The bridge replaces ferry services, reducing travel time between Miri and Marudi to just 30 minutes. Yang Berhormat Datuk Dr. Penguang Manggil, ADUN N.76 Marudi, expressed appreciation to JKR Sarawak and contractors for early project completion.
