A delegation from Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Sarawak, led by Ir. Ts. Gs. Br. Dr. Cassidy Anak Morris, Director of Public Works Sarawak, conducted a courtesy visit to the Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) this morning. The delegation was warmly received by YBhg. Dato' Ar. Azman Bin Md Hashim, President of the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM), along with LAM council members. The visit facilitated productive discussions between JKR Sarawak and LAM, focusing on strengthening collaboration to address the shortage of government architect positions. Both parties emphasized the importance of recruiting more LAM Part II accredited architecture graduates to support infrastructure development aligned with Sarawak's Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030. This engagement marks a significant step towards enhancing professional capacity in architectural services within the public sector, ensuring sustainable infrastructure growth for Sarawak's future. The meeting underscored both organizations' shared commitment to elevating architectural standards and meeting Sarawak's developmental needs through strategic human capital development.
