The Integrity Branch of Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Sarawak successfully organized an Integrity Roadshow in collaboration with the Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) on 22 May 2025 at JKR Bahagian Miri, attended by 34 contractors. In her welcoming remarks, Ts. Wong Siu Ping, Senior Principal Assistant Director of the Integrity Branch, emphasized the program's core objective to cultivate and strengthen integrity and good governance culture among JKR personnel and strategic partners. She highlighted the critical need to avoid practices that could create perceptions of corruption while advocating for strict compliance with regulations and implementation of checks-and-balances mechanisms at all organizational levels.

The event featured a special lecture titled "Common Offenses Under the MACC Act 2009 and Corruption in Procurement" delivered by Tuan PKPs Mohd Haznaim Bin Hassim from SPRM, which examined frequent integrity issues in government procurement processes including conflict of interest, contractor-official collusion, contract information leaks, commission acceptance, work specification manipulation, and irregularities in supply verification and progress payment claims.

An interactive Q&A session provided participants the opportunity to raise concerns and share challenges in maintaining transparent procurement transactions. This program represents JKR Sarawak's ongoing initiative to embed integrity values across all organizational tiers, aligning with the Sarawak Government's aspiration for efficient, transparent, and corruption-free governance. The roadshow demonstrates JKR Sarawak's proactive approach in combating corruption risks while building ethical partnerships with contractors to ensure clean infrastructure development across Sarawak.
