Director of Public Works Attending Public Speaking Program KIK 1/2025

Director of Public Works Sarawak attended the Kursus Induksi Khusus (Jabatan) 1/2025, which included a key module on public speaking as part of the programme. The public speaking session was designed specifically to enhance the communication skills of new officers in the Public Works Department Sarawak, with the aim of building confidence in information delivery and ensuring that officers are able to communicate clearly, effectively and with authority in carrying out their official duties.

In his remarks, the Director of Public Works Sarawak emphasised that public speaking skills are essential within the department, as officers are frequently involved in project presentations, stakeholder engagement sessions and technical briefings for leaders and the community. He added that these skills enable officers to convey information on infrastructure development projects professionally and convincingly, in line with the department’s objective of ensuring effective communication at every stage of project management and implementation.
